I took out a contract last November to cover everything connected with my central heating system. Having had a problem with a similar company so I confirmed that any problems I may have with my heating system was covered. I returned from holiday in February and my heating was on but no hot water so I called in and the next day an engineer arrived. He confirmed that my three way valve was stuck and would have to be replaced and said he would return in a couple of days. After several phone calls By ME it was confirmed that although my heating system was covered to drain down the system to get to the valve was not and that would cost me £340. The system does NOT need to be drained down fully. And a replacement valve which I was told costs £240 (Retail £100) can be taken off the shelf at any plumbing wholesaler. I received a telephone call from Kevin who sounded very helpful and said he would cancel the call out charge as no work had been carried out and would contact my plumber (Who would only charge £240 inclusive of the valve) so I gave him the plumbers phone numbers. It is now some three weeks since his call and he has not contacted the plumber and guess what I have just received a bill for the call out. I have emailed the company on twice but have not had any reply. Very sad that what sounds a good company has many poor reviews.
