I contacted Faisel and Kabir from 4x4 Engine Rebuilds on the 16th Feb 2024 after getting a severe knocking noise on the 3.0 SDV6 engin on my 2015 Landrover Discovery 4. I couldnt be more impressed with how they answered all questions, what tasks they carry out on the engines at such a reasonable price compared to other people that I spoke to. both were exceptionally knowlageable, and could fit my car in very quickly. They arranged for my car to be picked up from Portsmouth (also big shout out to the excellent service from pervis at Ideal RecoveryLtd) and delivered to them in London for a full engine strip down. Like others that have placed reviews I got sent lots of update photos of how things were going (including the photo's of the spun bearing the cause of the bad knocking). all new bearings were fitted and valves and heads reground, new oil pump and all seals. As my car has done 94000 miles new belts were also fitted while the engine was out of the car. They were only to pleased to also get my car MOT'd for me while there. Once complete the car was tested by them and returned back to me in Portsmouth (again thanks Pervis). I have left this review for a few months to gain full confidence in the engine. Since getting the car back it hasnt missed a beat, and is silky smoth in power delivery, I am still running it in gently as advises by kabir and will be driving the car back to 4x4 Engine Rebuilds when I reach 1500 miles for a service to maintain the warranty. I honestly cant thank Kabir, Faisel and the team enough, their service is second to none and I highly recomend giving them a call.
