I am confident that the bike I ended up with - a Merida Crossway 100 - was the best choice for my intended use, preferences and budget. I was particularly pleased with being able to ride away with my bike - well set-up for me by Ricardo - on the day, rather than having to wait at least six months as advised by a brand-specific competitor.
