“Review after a week of daily use” This is a niche product for coffee nerds like me, but it delivers more than good espresso. It gives you the same good espresso over and over, and therefore it is a great learning device for coffee aficionados. More precise and user-friendly than any non-PID espresso maker, it could become my one and only espresso artifact if I hadn’t concerns about its durability. Only time will tell. Two main cons are price and workflow. I chose the refurbished items for a little economy and no problem to date, but you are paying premium money for a premium product. As for the second inconvenient, you don’t buy this piece for caffeine partys: it’s your Espresso Satisfyer. For à deux use try this: make one cup, divide it in two ristrettos and enjoy 15 minutes of coffee conversation while you make the second one. Accessories needed: none, but the dosing ring and the IMS basket are nice improvements. Shipping was fast and easy. 9Barista Customer Service is outstanding.
