I have shopped at CPC for many years, I used to live in walking distance from CPC in Fulwood Preston. I have had little problems with orders, nothing that has not been sorted out relatively easily. But now I live in Scotland and orders need posting it is a different experience. I ordered an exterior LED light and it arrived with chipped glass. So I contacted CPC to arrange for this to be collected and replaced. I waited in all day and the courier who was meant to collect did not show up. CPC customer services said they can't help with that. What they did suggest is to print a new label and take it to a drop off shop. Well, I wasn't going to wait in a second day and risk the courier not turning up again, so I took it to a drop off shop. A 12 mile round trip, so that costs me in very expensive fuel, when I have paid for free delivery and returns. I am not impressed with CPC saying they can't do anything about couriers not showing up, that is ludicrous. I will now have to avoid CPC if I can purchase what I need elsewhere, because so many items arrive broken or damaged in some way these days when shopping online. This is going to cost people a lot of money driving to shops to return items, I doubt people will want to do it too many times, I know I don't. It is a real shame, CPC was one of my favourite places to purchase from, but the unreliable courier element will make me think twice in case more items turn up defective. Perhaps CPC should take some responsibility for not only arranging collection and delivery, but sorting out problems with unreliable couriers.
