I recently put up a review for their painters and decorators. This review was quite negative but honest, as I have been building for over 40 years and I know good trades from poor trades. Non the less, the painter quoted our decorating works for a fixed sum and was given the go ahead. They left the job unfinished and in a mess although they were paid up to date. Even though it was a fixed price, the painter tried to add many many variations as well, which most were already included within the quote! Checkatrade did not publish my review and then sent the painter a copy of my review! The painter then messaged me, abusing me and calling me a liar etc etc!!! Checkatrade are obviously filtering and covering up bad reviews for some of their members and not publishing the truth!!!
