Very difficult to be elderly and woman living on her own, this attracts many unscrupulous builders wanting more cash. So wanting to do home improvements I looked in the traders directories, reading reviews. To my astonishment I encountered problems with some builders I reviewed and those reviews have not come live, indeed check a trade now has stop me messaging to traders jobs to be done. Shame on them. To name few: had a bathroom fitter who came asked for deposit removed my bathroom and never came back, had 2 windows companies asking for big deposit who cancelled but did not want to refund the money, all my reviews for those have disappeared, so do you really trust check a trade? One of those traders has a company in liquidation which is of course not told on check a trade.
