I ordered a couple of cushion covers from Damart, primarily because I was enticed by the "free gift" of a messenger bag worth "£28" and free postage. When I checked the delivery status of my order, I was disappointed to see that instead of the bag, I would be receiving a voucher. This was especially galling as I had ordered immediately upon receiving the catalogue from Damart and it was 13 days before the expiry date of 6th April. Then, when the cushion covers were delivered 4 days later, there was no voucher so I rang customer services, who said the voucher would be sent to me. I was astounded and angry when I received the voucher, as it was for 25% discount off items in the latest catalogue as long as I ordered before 13th April. It exhorted me to "treat" myself with my fantastic discount. To add insult to injury, I would still have to pay for postage and packing. I do not regard this as an equivalent gift as I would have to spend more money to buy something I don't want and pay p&p for the privilege! I will NOT be shopping with Damart again.
