I was over charged $583.97 in San Francisco. Called took an hour to get them to recognize their mistake they promised to issue credit within 5 - 7 business days. Followed up a month later and they can't find any record or rental. Held for an hour for Supervisor never did get one. Ended up having to dispute charge with American Express since they made the reservation on my behalf. AMEX issued credit same day.
Hertz used to have excellent Customer Service. They are pushing to eliminate any person to person and move all interactions to online and they have outsourced their Customer Service Department to overseas. What a shame. A trusted travel partner for over 35 years and there isn't even a "vehicle" in place for me to voice my concern. Fortunately I have also been a member of Emerald Club so I have options.
