Wish I had read these posts before using them. Terrible car hire broker. Any issues they take MONTHS to respond and when they do they are ZERO help. DO NOT USE THEM! And DO NOT HIRE WITH SICILY BY CAR either, both are only there to take your money and then never give you any kind of service in return.
I had to cancel my credit card before my holidays because of CC fraud and there was zero assistance from them to assist. When I arrived to Sicily by Car in Malta to collect the car, I was denied it because my credit card had been cancelled. While on holiday I had my details stolen and fraudulent activity on my account so I had no choice but to cancel my card which meant I had no way to pay the deposit. The car rental company would not accept any other method and because of their own policies which are terribly restrictive when it comes to this that they refused to provide me the car without adding a whole bunch of bogus charges.
They have no procedure in place to assist a customer when something like this happens which I find totally unacceptable. I was happy to pay the deposit with my debit card but they would not accept that without me buying their full insurance which I also found ridiculous seeing I had already bought full coverage. It doesn’t make sense to have to buy two insurances as well as what does one thing have to do with the other. It’s all just a money grab.

How do we inform you that a credit card is the only payment option that will be accepted at the rental location?
The rental conditions of the supplier always inform you what requirements the credit card must meet. Any debit cards, Visa Electron, prepaid credit cards, or cash is not accepted.
The credit card must always be in the name of the lead driver and carry sufficient funds to cover the full amount of the deposit.
This is one of the most important conditions which the lead driver must be able to meet at the time of pick-up. When the lead driver is not able to comply with these conditions the supplier is indeed not able to provide them with the rental car.
We offer the supplier conditions and the general conditions during various moments of the reservation process. To complete the reservation, these must be confirmed for acceptance.
On top of your rental voucher, we inform you what to bring with you to collect the rental car and we also inform you that a debit card will not be accepted.
Will you get a refund for this unused reservation?
We find it very unfortunate that you have not been able to read these conditions before the start of the rental. We must inform you that we are not able to cancel the reservation or provide a refund for the unused reservation. This is also explained within our General Conditions you can read and review these here.
We are very sorry that we can't provide you with a more positive outcome.

So I have been accused of not understanding the conditions when in fact thats not the issue at all. Both companies are a scam. AVOID AVOID AVOID!!!
