My wife was diagnosed with stage 4 breast cancer last October. We booked trip to a cottage on February 14th for some well earned r and r during her treatment break. We arrived at the cottage to no access to the premises and the lock box code was not provided by Hoseasons. We tried their number and could
not get through. We contacted the cottage owner as per the contact details provided by Hoseasons. No reply. We had no choice but to book an air bnb at greater expense to us.
The cottage owner later replied to us stating that she had declined the booking on the day we requested it as she was out of the country, however Hoseasons still took our money and confirmed the booking.
Hoseasons are refusing to refund the £360 stating they will not do anything as as we emailed them over 28 days after the ‘stay’, despite us trying to call them upwards of 30 times but never being able to ge through.
The attitude of the customer service advisor is basically ‘computer says no’.
Disgusting from them, this is the first and last time we will be using them.
Any advice on who I can contact to raise this? All we want is the money back that they incorrectly took from us.
