I was in the store tonight to pick up business card magnets. I looked where I thought they would be, but no luck. I went to the customer service desk and asked where I could find them, and was told to go back to the aisle where I'd just been. Still no luck. I searched and found the item on my phone and went back to the customer service desk so that the lady would look them up by item number, but she just told if I didn't see them, they were out. Both times she responded to me she asked for help from someone at the other end of her color mic. There was no one to help on the floor. I was one of three people walking in circles trying to find items. I left the store, went to the parking lot, and ordered the item online with a one-hour pickup time. It was indeed available. I ran another errand and was notified it was ready.
This is incredibly frustrating.
The fact that there was no one to help speaks volumes about what Staples think of customers trying to spend money in their store.
