I bought a pair of Timberland's yellow boots and after three months (non-daily use) the inside of the heel had worn out and gotten holes in it. After raising this with their customer service, they denied me warranty and claimed this to be regular wear and tear. As a company marketing themselves on durability, quality and sustainability, telling me that 3 months is regular wear and tear on a shoe is unacceptable. It is clear the fabrics used for the shoe in a highly abrasive area where you slip in and out of the boot have been downgraded likely to save money on a product that then becomes unusable as it will cause discomfort and blister on the heel walking. The life span of a boot that costs £190 should not be 3 months! It is a waste of money and resources resulting in even more fast fashion which Timberland falsely claims to be fighting.
It is disappointing to yet see this highly reputable brand sell out their customers for money when refunding me for their poor quality product would have made not even a dent in their profits.
