As an adblocker that operates from the OS rather than the browser, it "feels" like webpage loading is a bit slower, but that is a small price to pay for AdGuard's ability to block youtube ads. Prior to AdGuard, youtube seems to have developed the ability to detect adblockers operating within the browser and refused (in a variety of ways) to play the selected video. So far AdGuard has been able to remain undetected for the most part. I also use a VPN and ublock origin is disabled. My browser deletes all cookies and cache from youtube when I close the tab. I must change my vpn each time I open a new youtube tab or the video loads but will not play (showing the spinning circle until the vpn is changed) But these few gyrations work and I can watch youtube videos essentially unhassled and ad-free. All other internet destinations remain ad-free. Youtube is the challenge at the moment.
