I recently undertook the GVC Course with Airborne Platforms UK. It was a thoroughly enjoyable five-star experience delivered by a five-star team. Chris, Julia, Ed and Mick all worked hard to ensure I could complete the course in a most time effective way whilst gaining the depth of knowledge and experience needed to pass both the theory and practical assessments. The Learning Management System delivers course content in a linear way completing each topic in turn before proceeding to the next. This ensures that the required knowledge is consolidated before learning something new and prevents the course from being too thinly spread. The theory assessment was conducted under controlled conditions in a friendly but formal way at home. Videos in the later stages of the course show exactly what to do and how to get the best from the practical test. At the assessment, the assessor made me feel immediately at ease and through a friendly questioning and answering style managed to draw out the best in me. APUK's well-thought-out system and document structure made compiling my Operations Manual easy whilst allowing me to put my own stamp on it. Having passed the GVC, my application to the CAA was turned around in just 7 days and my Operational Authorisation was issued. I couldn’t have achieved this without the direction, help and support of the Airborne Platforms team.
