What a truly awful company to deal with, especially there customer service. I order 2 kits for my young nephews, as way of an introduction to the wonderful world of modelling. When the package arrived, both boxes where damaged and now are not suitable to given as gifts. Having what the recent programmes on Yesterday, which went on about how Airfix look after their customers and want to encourage the next generation of modellers. Well none of that is true, especially by the fact that customer service have failed to contact me. I have call, but all I get is a message saying they are closed - despite phoning them during the time the voicemail message says they are open. Other times I just get 'this persons phone is switched off'. I will now NEVER buy from Airfix or Hornby Hobbies again. I have now bought my Nephews a Tamyia model each, which I am sure they will be delighted with.
