Previously, we had used an outdoor grill cover from a local hardware store as a cover for our outdoor water softener. The grill cover was not a good fit and, after a year, had been shredded by the weather. About 5 months ago, we bought an ALCO cover. Because we could give custom measurements, it is a perfect for our water softener. It is also made of a much more robust material. So far, it has shown no signs of wear and tear, and I expect it to last many years.
