I had made an appointment to have a technician repair my screen door. Appointment was set for Monday 19 September 2022 and the technician was supposed to be at my place between 10 am and Noon on this day. Couple of days before the appointment, I received a call from their office trying to change the date, but I told the person calling me that I had already taken a day off specifically for this day and that they should keep the appointment. The office called back an hour later and confirmed that the technician can now come between 1 to 3 pm on this day. I agreed with this change of time and again emphasized that because I had taken a day off work you should ensure the job is done on this day. Nevertheless, around 2:30 pm on Monday 19 September 2022, I received a call from the office telling me the technician could not come and had to cancel the appointment. You can appreciate how frustrated and disappointed I was to hear that the appointment is cancelled after all my requests to keep it on the day that I had taken off for this purpose. This is totally unacceptable and not the way to run a service company. I wrote to them and asked them how they are going to remedy the situation and compensate me. Unfortunately, they were not courteous enough to respond to my letter.
