I don't like writing negative reviews of small businesses but I have tried to resolve this with the company and through the BBB. And Amore has not responded. TLDR: Amore's "Hardcover Photobook" is deceptively advertised as being layflat and "lovingly handcrafted" -- it is neither. It is an overpriced Shutterfly album.
If you want the full story, which I shared with the BBB (and which Amore ignored):
I received my hardcover photobook in November 2023. Though it had the correct cover, the inside was for a completely different person. When I emailed Alin at Amore, they apologized and sent me a new album. The new album, however, did not have layflat pages, a feature that I wanted in my wedding album -- and that I thought I was paying for with Amore.
When I asked Alin about this, they said that hardcover photobooks did not come with this feature. BUT, as you can see from the screenshot, Amore's website advertises "The Amore difference" at the bottom of every page, including for the hardcover photobook. I assumed that every Amore photobook, therefore, included layflat pages and was "lovingly handcrafted." Having this description at the bottom of every Amore page is false advertising. The mixup with the first album (correct cover, incorrect interior) also demonstrates that Amore's albums are not "lovingly handcrafted." No human would put a wedding album cover on a photo book that clearly was about a different topic.
