Our oven packed up over Christmas so we ordered a new one which Appliance Direct claimed was in stock and could be delivered by January 7th. This was untrue. Delivery was cancelled and set back to the 15th. It was then cancelled again by e-mail and set back to the 22nd. At this point I phoned their customer services line. I was told the item would coming back into stock on the 20th (so it wasn't in stock to begin with!) and would definitely be delivered on the 22nd. By this stage we had already had to cancel an installer twice. The 22nd duly arrived but not an Appliances Direct oven . Once more I phoned customer services - suffered the same long wait to speak to someone - who could only parrot a script - but said the oven would now arrive on the 23rd (today). Whether that proves true or not this has been a dreadful experience. You can't raise a proper complaint with this company by phone - nor can you get much sensible out of someone when you do call. We strongly feel we have been lied to. We will not buy anything from them again.
