As per usual with Arnold Clark you turn up at 8.30am as agreed for service and MOT and you're told that car will be ready anytime up to 5.00pm. What's the point in a booking system if its all day.
Anyway, my car was ready about 2.15 so I turned up only to be told my car is just being valeted and will be ready in 15 mins. I've been here before I thought so I asked if the car was definitely being valeted and was assured it was. Fast forward 45mins and went to reception to say that this must be an amazing valet as I've been waiting so long. " has no-one been to see you sir" "erm, no" "I'll just go and check".
7 or 8 mins later " I'm awful sorry sir but they haven't started your valet"
Well I was non too pleased and told the customer service guy in no uncertain terms that I was not happy. I explained that this was the second time this had happened and on one occasion after a service they lost my car. Yes that's true. Everyone was looking for it and it was eventually found after about 15 mins.
On the plus side on this occasion I was offered a free tyre to replace one that had a nail in it and was on advisory list on MOT.
Will not be renewing my service contract for my soon to be picked up new Sportage but heck, their loss my gain
