I'm not sure putting a 'sorry we missed you note' through the door constitutes attempted delivery. I'm even less sure they actually rang the door bell or knocked the door. I'm completely sure they didn't try to call when they said they did, and I'm never going to call anyone liars, but they certainly aren't telling the truth. Avoid.
