I purchased several items on George.co.uk on a click and collect basis. The option was there to be able to collect the items from the next day from 5pm. I patiently waited for an email to say my items had been received In store ready for me to pick up. This email was never received, so 2 days later (a day after I was ment to collect) I needed a few bits from Asda(old Kent road) and decided I'd go to the store and see if my items where there! The system said it was but they were not! I was left waiting for nearly an hour with my two children with no explanation as to what I was waiting for. Nobody from the department came to speak to me and I was told to call customer services. I did this once home and was unimpressed to find that their customer service agent was unable to tell me anything but it's been held up in transit and he would call me back in the next hour to find out what the hold up was, this call never came. I called again later in the evening with again no explanation as to where my order was. Again I was told by a very rude agent I'd receive an email when it was in store and I'd just have to wait. But he would put on the system for another agent to chase it up in the morning and give me a call back. Again this never happened. I waited another two days without a word or an email and decided I'd just call and cancel the order as I was fed up of waiting. Only to find out the items had been delivered two days before, they had a new system and where struggling to scan the items. I was the told i only had 4 more days to collect it or the goods would be sent back to the warehouse. I am completely appalled at not only the service but the lack of communication for this service. I will not be using George again online.
