I went to the Dunfermline centre for 2 new tyres and wheel alignment. The wheel alignment was not done correctly and this was not noticed until I was on the motorway, where it was pulling a lot to the left, the steering wheel was also pointing to the left and when I drove about 60mph, the wheel was shuddering.
I called a total of three times and was hung up on each time. The 1st time because the Dunfermline centre did not answer the phone and therefore I was disconnected. The 2nd time was after being told to book a recovery vehicle if I felt my car was not safe to drive (which it didn't feel safe at all) and after me questioning who would be covering the costs of this. I called a 3rd time, questioning the same things, only to get time to book a taxi back to dunfermline if I couldn't get in contact with them over the phone. I live outside Livingston and this was jot possible. When I also noted that I'm working on Sunday (01.09) and judging by what the people on the phone were saying, should not be driving my car. When I asked if I could get a refund for the money spent on the alignment, I was advised to call back on Monday (those was Saturday) as despite being 'head office' they could answer none of my questions. When asked again about a refund, I was told that they could not guarantee that I could get one as 'it's your word against the garages'. I said I would take videos, get a report from another garage to say how poor the work was completed and contact trading standards if needed, the 3rd 'call handler' hung up after saying that 'there are other customers waiting on the line'. This is disgusting customer service and I would like a full refund. Avoid at all costs
