The windscreen on my Land Rover Discovery had a small star crack (but in the driver's eye line so an MOT fail) which they were supposed to repair. The crew on the van knew nothing about repairs though, they'd been told to replace it. And replace it they did, in the dark by the light of their van headlamps.
When I checked it i the daylight there were rubber offcuts stuck all over the seats and carpets, black resin patches on the inside of the new windscreen (that the MOT man was going to fail it on before we managed to scrape it off), glue and some kind of white staining all over the exterior trim on one side and the rubber seal had been twisted at the bottom of the screen so it now lets both water and wind through.
That was a month ago and so far all requests for AW to come and rectify the problems have been met with silence. They listen politely during my numerous phone calls, promise that a member of management will contact me, and then do nothing. It's as if their complaints procedure is to outwait you so you give up. That's going to be difficult to do in my case as the wind from the seal misalignment overwhelms the heater making the car undriveable in the winter.
Very very poor service. It's bad enough that the technicians couldn't do the job properly but that senior staff then ignore my rectification requests must reflect the principles by which they conduct their business. Caveat Emptor. If you have a choice, go elsewhere.
