Made a mistake on the online insurance form when taking out insurance. I totally understand this was my fault.
To rectify the fault was going to add £60 on to the price. Again, I understand this was my fault.
So I did a new quote, and realised that with the correct details, the insurance should have been reduced by over £50.
So by taking out a new quote, I could save £110.
Company explained this isn't how it works.
No problem, as I'm within my 14 day "cooling off period) - actually only 4 days into the insurance.
Turns out the "cooling off" period still has a £50 policy cancellation charge! How is that a cooling off period!?
Cancelled out of principle and went elsewhere. Beware of small print. And companies that are supposed to have a cooling off period, which isn't actually a cooling off period!
