We sourced our home & buildings insurance quotes through independent comparison site 'U switch' two years ago after our premiums had unreasonably increased with no claims having been made. Having researched the options and checking the cover, Autonet provided the most competitive and comparable quote by a considerable margin and signing up was easy, even with the offer of interest free direct debit...no hassle. This year (2016), the renewal had crept up, but was still competitive enough to renew. When it came to renewing, the call centre staff did not deliver their promises to call back in time for me to renew and were not very helpful. However, after directly complaining to a very senior member of Autonet staff that same day, my complaint was dealt with immediately. I received a call also that day and the issue was resolved very effectively and efficiently due to 'the' senior manager sorting out the issue and putting us first. It is down to this senior management positive attitude towards the customer that we consider the issue a one off and remain 'confident' in Autonet and that we are still customers (although have kept senior managers contact details). Although we have not had to make a claim (and hope not to), I would recommend Autonet if you are looking to receive competitive premiums from a broker who deal with reputable, well known insurance providers.
