Absolutely disgusting behaviour from this company today. Was asked to call them today. Did so, was told the policy they had offered was invalid due to incorrect details (not given by me). Policy not due to start until late June. They wanted to add £179 to policy. They also wanted £37 to change my address! When I tried to exercise my right to cancel, they wanted to charge me £25 to cancel a policy (which by their own admission is not a valid policy because they don't have correct details!). I also asked to see a copy of policy in post (which they can't send me because they don't know my address..... ) so they are trying to enforce a policy which they know is invalid, as they cannot confirm who I am, nor do they know where the vehicle is registered to provide the appropriate insurance. I asked several times to have my contact preferences changes to post. They refused to do this, and said they'd send me correspondence via email. One hour and 40 minutes later I gave up. They are clearly going to try and extort money out of me for a policy they can't honour and is invalid (their words). When I told them I'd simply cancel direct debit, they said they'd take me to court for breach of contract. A contract they admit is invalid! They refused to waive £25 Fee, even though they can't honour policy any longer!
This is disgusting behaviour. Its extorsion.
I advise everyone to NEVER use this company. Ever.
Will be reporting to Ombudsman. Have warned my bank too, who have black listed them for further transactions.
