The fitting of the gate is made easy by the inclusion of comprehensive instructions and the provision of excellent quality templates to locate the various wall fittings. The operation of the gate is slightly awkward as two hands are required to close it! With the pull out section in the, stowed position, it is only possible to pull the material across the opening by first, pressing then turning a button. This has to be done whilst at the same time pulling the material across the opening! The retract is as simple as you would expect it to be. The retract is accompanied by a ratchet sound which is a good warning the gate is being opened. On the whole a good product, well made with comprehensive fittings. Just a tad fiddly to use, when used to control pets rather than small children.
