This classroom Jewish calendar is pretty much what I was looking for, but I find some of the artistic choices a bit... odd. For example, the border around the calendar includes not multiple pictures of a crying pair of shoes with an “X” through them (presumably referring to the prohibition against leather shoes on Yom Kippur or Tisha B’av) but also a pair of smiling wet rain boots (something to do with “mashiv haru’ach...”?). Upon seeing the calendar, my 3-yo daughter exclaimed “look, it’s the menorah! And the... talking boots!”
In addition you such familiar symbols of the Jewish year as a menorah and shofar, also included are a party hat (for Purim, I guess? Instead of a grogger?) and what appears the back of the head/helmet of a Greek or Roman soldier, but no lulav/etrog or sukkah which are inarguably more recognizable and symbolic.
In short, a serviceable classroom calendar (though disappointingly lacking a month-header for Adar II), but I would be curious to know what the artist/designer was thinking.
