Bloke from BHF came a few days ago to do viewing and told me what they would and wouldn't take and the reasons. I said just take what you can sell in shop. My husband will dump anything else. Bloke made a list of what they would take.
Called and arranged for collection. Was charged £60 even though everything to be sold in store! Clearance men turned up today (after being told at shop yesterday before when I paid that they had no record of anything). They took a kitchen table and chairs and nest of tables. They told me they couldn't take dining room wall unit that was on list,.. something about solid back? (One of them didn't speak a word of English). I said I have paid £60 for removal of wall unit and other furniture. They were adamant they couldn't take it. Went upstairs and said they couldn't take vintage dressing table and matching wardrobe without destroying them. I said we could do that ourselves for nothing! They said there is no way they can take them
I said why did the other bloke list them then. Seeing as they weren't going to take what had been listed and what I had paid for to be taken (FOR THEM TO SELL IN STORE so why did I have to pay?) Told them to take the couple of items they had taken, out of their van and put back in house and I wanted a refund (which I got). Absolutely disgusting service. Clearance men who can't remove a wall unit and get a wardrobe downstairs. Complete joke! Was incredibly stressed and extremely upset. They are terrible!
