Terri Parkinson
Booked collection of wardrobe, chest of drawers, coffee table and exercise machine. Woman called me to confirm collection of items, she was very abrasive. On the confirmed collection date I received a phone call from one of the collection men to say they would be with me soon. When they arrived they refused to take the wardrobe saying it was not good enough as it was not high end condition and wouldn't sell. This wardrobe was solid pine and despite a couple of minor marks from general wear and tear was perfectly good enough to sell in a charity/ second hand furniture shop. People looking to buy second hand don't expect to find top end furniture in perfect condition or they would shop at Laura Ashley! I have bought second hand furniture before and I don't expect it to be perfect, I pimp it up such as painting it and changing handles etc to turn it into something bespoke and unique, which I'm sure somebody else would have done with this wardrobe. They also refused to take the exercise machine because of a couple of scratches, ridiculous it was perfectly use able for its intended purpose. As for the chest of drawers they didn't even have it on their list. They took the coffee table, probably because it was light and easy for them to carry onto the van! Absolute waste of time, I won't donate to them ever again.
