Chiroubles has always been my favourite wine from the Beaujolais region, but difficult to get hold of. It was an easy decision to purchase this new offering from BIB wine company. The Chiroubles from Julien Chantreau is soft as it should be but it’s missing something if served at room temperature. After the first glass or so, I decided to store the box in the fridge. Take a glass leave it to stand for a few minutes to warm up just slightly and the flavours in the wine come to life, giving a more enjoyable drinking experience. The BIB is lasting a lot longer than 3 bottles would because there is no need to “empty the bottle”, making it a good way to purchase wine for everyday use. The packaging is neat and robust, delivery time is good. The tasting concept is brilliant if you are available to participate.
