bought an Orbit 5/8 inch garden hose female brass fitting to put on an old hose whose fitting kept leaking...i tried three other fittings before i bought the Orbit fitting and each fitting leaked and I was about to give up...although the new Orbit fitting was difficult to install, it sealed perfectly with no leaks...it is the nearest thing to a factory installed crimped fitting i have found...new life has been given again to the old hose...i recommend these Orbit garden hose brass fittings from Big Frog...
