I contacted them to negotiate my Verizon wireless bill. They said they were able to negotiate a one time credit for $25 and a $30 reduction in my bill for automatic payments and paperless billing. This equated to a $720 saving over two years and they charged me 745*0.25=186.25 to my credit card. The $25 credit posted immediately and though I already had a credit for paperless billing and automatic payment, I though these guys were able to get even more of a credit, which sounded amazing. However, my Verizon account did not reflect the $30 discount over the next two billing cycles and when I called Verizon, the agent said I already had that discount on my account since February 2021. I tried to contact Billtrim but no one called back. My Amex card charge gave a phone number in California for the company, which turns out is not the actual number of a Billtrim employee, but the phone number for an (?founder's) apartment complex office. Finally I initiated a charge back throug Amex, and as soon as that happened, their employee ?Raj reached out to me. She said their negotiator who negotiated this discount will call me. Their negotiatiator (sounds like they are located in the Philippines based on accent) called Verizon and did a three way with me. However, the Verizon agent he connected me also sounded like another Philippino agent (suspicious, since Verizon customer agents are typically based in the US). This "Verizon agent" told me that a $30 monthly credit is posted and I will receive this credit next month. I hung up with them and called back Verizon and the US based Verizon agent who answered could not verify this information. She confirmed what I already knew, which is that a discount for paperless billing and automatic payment has been on the account for the past five months. Its now been three months and all I have received is a one time $25 credit from Verizon. They charged me $186.25 to negotiate a one time $25 credit. This company is a HUGE scam. I suspect most of these trust pilot reviews are written by their employees.
