Buying from the US is problematic as the $ exchange, shipping costs, potential for additional duties. This is why I shop thru Binnacle. In addition, Binnacle, usually offers the lowest prices on most of the items I have bought from them over the past ten or so years. That with the mostly free shipping for items over $99 Can$ means no unexpected shipping or handling charges. Plus, since the items are shipped within Canada, I usually only wait a few days to receive. Another aspect I like, and I've done this a few times, when a particular item is not listed on their web store, I have found emailing the details on what I'm looking for they will supply, usually they will have the item in their store within a day or two. Again at a very competitive price and quick low cost shipping means I can have the item installed on my boat in less than a couple of weeks.
