I’m not a fancy person. My tasting palate is “I like this or ya I’d still drink it.” Sometimes I can distinguish between a rye and a bourbon without previous knowledge. But this is what I enjoy about Blind Barrels, having an opportunity to try new spirits and see if I can learn to identify characteristics. There’s enough volume to do it with a friend or two. If you consider how much you’d spend for a few run of the mill drinks at a bar it is also a great value for a new experience. Even if you’re just a run of the mill “I like whiskey” guy or gal, give it a try.
