I thought that you jump in a boat and go. I learned through this course that is not so. Had I not taken this course I would have been endangering not only my life, my family's, and others, that wanted to enjoy the waterways as well. From simple things, such as what the green and red light mean on the bow, to what essentials to pack with you.
Not only have I completed the course, but my wife is doing hers. When my children are old enough, they will do theirs as well.
