It was more involved than I though it would be but that was OK as there is a lot of important material to learn and be aware of. In speaking with people who took their test many years ago, it sounds like there used to be very little involvement needed to get certified. This course should be offered as a refresher to anyone interested (if it's not already). Not mandatory, but promoted as a chance for responsible pleasure craft operators to re-certify, perhaps with some incentive.
