The book and videos gave me confidence in my ability to run a boat as I was given ‘the rules of the road’. I studied the book and was NOT happy when I realized that in order to take the test I had hours of videos to watch. The necessity of watching the videos should be made VERY clear when buying the course/book. Also, for general lake, river boating is it really necessary to know all about ocean and commercial lane navigation? Perhaps the PowerSquadron Course should be the requirement for that. Your next question on the likelihood of recommending the BoatSmart course is unnecessary as it is required! A box for general comments is needed.
