It took one pot of Bold Beans to take me back to the way my Beppe (Frisian for Grandmother) used to cook them. Velvety soft, served every Saturday with lovely crispy belly pork and a spoonful of sweet vinegar. I have a large stash of just about every variety of Bold Beans in my kitchen and cook from the many free recipes I have managed to collect from the free ones attached to Bold Beans' emails. These have been such favourites that I have not even started cooking yet from the Bold Bean recipe book. I have always been a great lover of beans but since having been spoilt by my Gran I have found the many tinned varieties either often undercooked and hard, or cooked to mush. Bold Beans has taken me back to my favourite childhood meal of the week and I happily indulge two or three times a week if possible, helping to cut out lots of meat!
