Health needs were not the focus of my visit, selling an over-priced product using a carefully rehearsed hard "sell" was the apparent main aim. This included discrediting the NHS for not providing for people's needs and suggesting that because Boots had exceptional pricey products they were more caring. The sales assistant told me that it was why she had moved into the private sector, She said that working for Boots she could help more people than the NHS could. Boots seems to have a stronger record for not helping people rather than helping them with "not helping" including tax avoidance, zero contact hours, low pay for its employees, price hike on the so called "morning after" pill and huge salaries for executives. If Boots was really concerned about helping people they would kick off with getting those taxes back into the exchequer where they could be used to support the NHS in the best possible way.
