Have been a customer of DDF for several years now and purchased many items. Until recently I have had no problems at all, quick delivery, beautiful colors, nicely made. However, the lanterns that you recently started selling are terrible. First I ordered two Fall lanterns. The battery department was broken on one, the timer function on the other one is not functioning properly. I was sent a replacement lantern for the broken battery compartment, now the new one went dim in only two days. The batteries are from a brand new package I just bought for the lanterns. The same thing happened with two different sets of new batteries. They are dated 2034. The one with the defective timer will come on one day at 6:00, the next at 4:00 and so on, not even close to the same time every day. Before I was aware of all the lantern problems, I ordered two Christmas lanterns. The ring was broken on one, the timer function is not working properly like the Fall lantern. So, since they are "defective", you won't refund money, only exchange and the last thing I want is 4 more of these lanterns. The only other option for a refund is for ME to pay the return shipping, which is ridiculous! UPDATE!! Spoke with a Customer Service rep who was very concerned and understanding about my lanterns. She immediately offered to refund my credit card. As an added plus, I didn’t have to go to the post office to return the packages. EXCELLENT SERVICE!!
