I ordered a gallon jug of their original 62% formula back in March and it wasnt bad. It did take 2+ weeks to come but we got it and have been using it. Now we have used a half gallon so I decided to get another gallon but we got the new germ attack 70% formula. Little did I know this one came with an odd smell. The smell can be unpleasant for some. I noticed the odd smell lingers on your hands. I noticed a sticker on the back which says they are using plant based alcohol and has a lavender smell. There is a world wide shortage of alcohol and I guess they using whatever they can. However Im not sure what lavender smells like. I do know when it drys on your hands the smell seems to stay there and linger. So I will keep this new germ attack and only use it for emergencies. If hand sanitizer becomes available in the stores again this new germ attack will be thrown in the garbage. I dont need to be dealing with someone and have an unpleasant smell on my hands. I did find a way to counter the odd smell. Gold Bond has many moisturizers and some are scented like Restoring green tea. That should take care of some of it.
