We wanted to explore the possibilities of introducing a sound system during a major house refurbishment and came across the BCS website. We telephoned three or four times for advice and had detailed discussions about possibilities with John Hoyle. We sent house plans and, without effort, John produced superimposed wiring diagrams and equipment onto the plans, suggested cabling types, Wi-Fi signal boosters etc.
Nothing was too much trouble (when we thought we were causing a nuisance!) and despite the distance from Gloucestershire, we arranged to visit. We spent two hours with John in Chester during which we saw, touched and listened to different systems 'in the flesh'. Some days and two more calls later we chose Sonos as the basic system with different speakers in different rooms dependent on use. Our Hi-Fi equipment was not forgotten and was incorporated into the mix and we went ahead.
Post-purchase calls and mails from BCS offering advice to installers, if needed, followed by further transmitter purchases sees us now awaiting switch-on. We have absolutely no concerns that the system won't be brilliant - the only thing is whether we can find one of 7 frequency settings on our digital showers to avoid interference and a possible soapy end to a bathroom visit. Still, we'll be listening to nice music, radio, TV if that does happen!
We cannot recommend BCS too highly. We all know how 'service ain't what it used to be' but BCS's staff proves that the old days can still be found. All power to their elbows. DO SUPPORT!
