The jury is out. I traded in some of my gear, all current, for a new 100-400 Canon. All went well until the very end when I found out that the lens was out of stock. Whether this is bad or a disaster depends on when I receive it!!
I also found out by shear fluke that my old 100-400 lens was sold on in less than 2 hours. As the show was busy it couldn't have been checked properly. I happen to know that my lens was in good nick but in principle it's scary!!
