I used carfax for back to back reviews. There was a ford ranger that looked great and sounded great and ran great. Something told me to pull a carfax. The man told me it was his second vehicle that he had for awhile but didn't drive often yet the carfax showed he bought it a week prior at an auto auction and it had 43,000 more miles on it at the auction purchase then when he was selling a week later. The next vehicle I was really interested in was an 99 jeep grand Cherokee in great condition but only 92,000 original miles and asking price was half of what it was worth for condition and miles. I just knew it was a scam and was ready to pass but put my trust in pulling a carfax. The carfax showed every step of the history and mileage history through the years and that proved to be the true mileage. Thanks to carfax I did not miss out on this awesome deal and got my son a dependable safe vehicle that he loves! Thank you carfax for protecting my interest!!!
