I am in the market for a used pickup truck. Researching online, I found a dealer site that listed a Ford f250 King Ranch for sale, 2006, for an unbelievable price at least $10k less than fair market value. Mileage was listed at around 70kmi. I signed up for car fax and ran the VIN. Much to my surprise, the carfax detailed history report alerted a mileage discrepancy. The vehicle had actual mileage of over 500,000 miles!!!!! Needless to say, I did not buy that vehicle.
