We have used CarFax four times now. Three times to sell cars in private transactions ($6,000-$10,000 each) and we used it to buy one car a few years ago. As the owner of cars with the reports run on them I was pleased with the accuracy and felt it was very representative of the history of the vehicles. This meant when I was ready to step up to a more expensive used vehicle I felt I could trust the information, so we had the seller give us a CarFax on it, and here a few years later it seems it was spot on. The vehicle has run as expected given the history. Overall I love the service, both as a vehicle buyer and seller.
