I was buying a car off a friend. Since I met my friend I had seen the car many times and it looked flawless, it was low mileage and apparently very well maintained so I figured I didn't need to get a carfax. A little before buying it I decided to invest in the carfax just to be 100% sure that this was the car for me, and am I glad I did, the carfax highlighted so much information that I was not expecting to find, it told me how many miles each owner put on the car and the carfax confirmed that the super low mileage on the odometer was the actual mileage on the car.
